Brgr: Great Veggie Burger
Eater dishes out praise to # 5– “a burger with cheddar, bacon, horseradish cream, onion, lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc. While a little light on the horseradish, it was overall delicious and cooked perfectly medium.” Numbers 3 and 1 also received a rousing thumbs up: “On my following visits I had the #3 again and it was just as good as I remember– the Roquefort is such a nice touch– and then just the other day I tried the #1: American cheese, brgr sauce (tho I forgot to find out what’s in the sauce), grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles and I had them add bacon to it because what’s a burger without the bacon, right? Also tasty.” My vote, since I’m not much of a meat eater, goes to the veggie burger, No. 13, topped with avocado, radish sprouts, herb mayo, onion and tomato. What was astounding about this particular veggie burger was the existence of what appeared to be real veggies: bright green peas and tiny shreds of carrot loosely mixed together in, dare I say it?, a tender patty. Usually veggie burgers are an undifferentiated mush of tasteless, dried out soy product. I’ll go back to Brgr for this burger again and maybe try the sweet potato fries too. Brgr
