Murray’s and Saxelby’s both have lots going on.
For great food at even greater prices, try Café Condesa, the tiny West Village eatery on West 10th Street. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious in this snug place with only a few tables for the lucky few who snag them.
When you go to BAM, the options are limited. There aren’t a lot of places near the theater. Also, we were not searching for a leisurely dining experience; coming from work, we had to more or less eat and run.
For those of you looking for something to do this weekend, try the pig roast at Paumanok Vineyards in Aquebogue on the North Fork. And in October, don’t miss Brian Halweil, publisher of Edible Brooklyn and Publisher/Editor of Edible East End, who will expound with other local foodies about….local food.
We were tired and just looking for a bite to eat. I’ve had my fill of seafood for awhile and Italian sounded good. So off we went to Acqua, our neighborhood Italian place which is often mentioned as a second place finisher behind its Amsterdam Ave. neighbor, Gennaro.
