Central Park: Calling All Foragers

I like getting fruits, veggies, meat and fish from farm markets. Fairway, Zabar’s and Whole Foods do a good job of taking care of my other food needs .

But for those of you with a yen to harvest the bounty produced by our very own Central Park–epazote and mugwort are among the delicacies that will be on hand– this Slow Food event may be for you.

URBAN FORAGING in CENTRAL PARK

Nat Bletter Ph.D is leading a special fall foraging expedition in Central Park.. Come taste red-fleshed apples, rosehips, sassafras, mustard greens, lamb’s quarters, epazote, mugwort, burdock, cornelian cherries, and more.
