Picholine Extends Recession Dining SpecialIn December, Picholine instituted a menu d’economie to lure recession battered diners to the high-end West Side eatery. But, if you wanted the lower priced option, you were relegated to the eatery’s bar area. The special included half portions of superior Picholine preparations offered up at lower-than-normal prices, including entrees for $20 and 60 different wines for under $60. Now, according to New York Magazine, Picholine has made the deal even better. From Monday through Thursday, diners can tuck into a three-course $58 tasting menu–and be served in the main dining room. Here’s the menu. If dishes like Foi Gras Shabu Shabu and Diver Sea Scallops aren’t enough to temp you, then the price might do the trick.
