New York Restaurant Week Extended

Can it be that less than a year ago, packed restaurants were wooing diners with high-priced menus?  Now, many eateries are offering recession specials just to try to keep their tables filled.

To aid the city’s beleaguered dining spots–and to put some money in the pockets of budget-conscious diners–this year’s New York Restaurant Week has been transformed into New York Restaurant Months.  The promotion began on Jan. 18, and now NYC & Company, its sponsor, says it will run until March 20.
