Upper West Side: Two Restaurants Get Some Michelin LoveThe Upper West Side got a dose of Michelin love yesterday. Jean Georges retained its three stars. And Chef Ed Brown recived a single Michelin star for the second year in a row for his restaurant Eighty-One. Brown, who recently opened Ed’s Chowder House in the Empire Hotel, situated across from Lincoln Center, has instituted a budget menu at Eighty-One. That means you can get Michelin star quality food at very reasonable prices. For more about Brown, read Food and Thing’s recent interview with the star chef.
