Upper West Side: Bruni, Forer to Discuss Ethical Eating at Dec. 7 JCC Panel
If you’d like to chew on ethical eating issues, the JCC Dec. 7 will be presenting a panel discussion titled: Who Knew Food Could be So Fraught?
It used to be that eating ethically was about filling up your stomach. These days, of course, diners must consider a long list of dos and don’ts even before they jot down the week’s grocery list. Organic or not? Local or imported? Vegetarian or carnivore? Factory or family farm?
The JCC’s Who Knew Food Could Be So Fraught will tackle today’s hot-button ethica eating questions.
Panelists are:
- Frank Bruni, former New York Times restaurant critic and author of Born Round.
- Jonathan Safran Forer, novelist and author of the non-fiction Eating Animals.
- Abigail Pogrebin, journalist and author (panel moderator).
