Upper West Side: A Voce Shines with Dishes that Delight

A Voce’s Time Warner Center outpost buzzed the night I was there with a mix of tourists and locals. As for the food, the pasta dishes were sublime. But why take my word for it? Our very own Discerning Diner filed the following report:

We shared the ravioli with taleggio and brown butter and sage, with some roasted diced butternut squash. Really rich—it does seem like overkill—but delicious. Had the marinated baby fennel with that, which offered a good contrast.

I got the swordfish (I haven’t ordered it in years, but Canadian and American swordfish is now sustainable again.) The fish came with little “planks” of polenta and an olive and fennel. Oops, didn’t notice the repeat when I ordered or if it was even on the menu description, but I like fennel. The sauce, also delicious. My friend got the pork chop, which had one bone but seemed like a triple chop. The waiter was a bit lame, the runners and busboys were very good. I would go back.
