Upper West Side: Fatty Crab Throws Itself a First Birthday PartyFatty Crab, the Malaysian-inspired eatery on Broadway, is throwing itself a first birthday  Photo: Fatty Crab party. When you reach a year old, “that’s an appropriate time to start drinking,” insist the folks who oversee the always-packed place about the celebration to take place March 3. To mark the one-year anniversary, there will be hors d’oeuvres “by the folks at Fatty Crab UWS, Fatty Crab WV, Cabrito” and the still-to-open Fatty ‘Cue, according to a press release. Cocktails, beer, and wine will be flowing, too. DJs will spin the groove all night.
(During last week’s snow storm, Fatty Crab offered discount drinks. “If it snows, you may as well drink,” says manager Bart Basile).
Tickets cost $59 + tax. Ticket purchase includes general admission from 7:30pm – 9:30pm, as well as admission into the invite only Anniversary Celebration from. Call Fatty Crab UWS at 212 496 2722. No refunds.
