New York Restaurant Week Extended

Can it be that less than a year ago, packed restaurants were wooing diners with high-priced menus?  Now, many eateries are offering recession specials just to try to keep their tables filled.

To aid the city’s beleaguered dining spots-and to put some money in the pockets of budget-conscious diners-this year’s New York Restaurant Week has been transformed into New York Restaurant Months.  The promotion began on Jan. 18, and now NYC & Company, its sponsor, says it will run until March 20.
